Alternative Estates was established in January 1990 with the goal of offering a fresh approach to estate agency. We wanted to provide an honest and straightforward experience for our clients. In 2007, we expanded our services to include Lettings and Management. We acquired the stock from a competitor Lettings Agent, which allowed us to quickly establish ourselves as a trusted name in the lettings scene.

Through years of experience, we have learned that maintaining high standards for our properties attracts the best tenants and reduces the risk of rent arrears. Our professionally produced paperwork and efficient online application processing demonstrate our professionalism to our tenants.

Our ongoing management service is supported by experienced staff, and we also provide training to our newer recruits. We have built a network of reliable contractors over the years, ensuring that the properties we manage are well-maintained.

We take great pride in our hands-on approach to property management. We treat each property as if it were our own, using a common-sense approach while ensuring that all necessary paperwork is in place to protect your interests.

We understand the importance of protecting our clients. As Property Mark licensed agents, our client account undergoes independent audits annually, and we hold client money protection insurance. Our trade body provides day-to-day compliance support and advice, and as members, we have access to a free legal helpline for any lettings-related issues. Additionally, you benefit from the added protection of the Property Ombudsman Service, an independent redress service for any complaints that cannot be resolved internally.

To safeguard your deposits, we use The Dispute Service, which has an independent adjudicator to rule on any disputes that may arise at the end of the tenancy.
